Global logistics company DP World moved into a 5,270m² corporate office purpose-built for it in the Nexus Precinct at Waterfall City.
A head office built to order
Global ports and logistics company DP World moved into its new sub-Saharan Africa corporate office in the Nexus Precinct at Waterfall City, Johannesburg, developed by Attacq specifically to DP World's requirements. The 5,270m² building hosts office accommodation across four floors, accessible from Magwa Crescent or from the fully pedestrianised piazza that forms the conceptual heart of the precinct's urban design, shared with the Courtyard Hotel and Nexus 1.
The façade combines ventilated porcelain tile, glazing and rendered plaster, with a highlight of Alucobond cladding in one of DP World's corporate colours marking each entry point. 'Building DP World's vision has been a rewarding experience, and we're proud to see it come to life,' said Miron Naidoo, Development Manager at Attacq.
Spoormaker's role
Spoormaker & Partners served as wet services engineer on the project, alongside Adaptive Resource Engineers on mechanical systems and LYT Architecture as architect and interior designer.
