Company History
Six decades of leadership, since our founder's vision in 1964.
The late Mr. H.J. Spoormaker founded Spoormaker & Partners Inc. in 1964 after immigrating from Holland in 1955. S&P joined the Ove Arup group in 1970 to become the mechanical and electrical department of the multi-disciplinary international firm. In 1981 S&P was re-established to specialise in air conditioning and electrical building services in South Africa.
In 1993 and 1997 branch offices were opened in Durban and Cape Town, respectively. ISO 9001 accreditation followed in 2007 and in 2014, S&P celebrated 50 years in the industry.
John Ferreira was elected as new managing director in 2018 and in 2019, S&P opened a branch in London, UK. Over the years, S&P has grown to become market-leading building services consulting engineers in South Africa with an expanding international footprint.
